This track caters to both novices and seasoned riders.
In 2011, Ozolkalns, the sole mountain not situated in one of the major mountain powers, secured a spot on the calendar for the 2011 Snowboard Cross European Cup organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS). The competition drew the participation of prominent European athletes.
