East Looe Beach in Cornwall is a true coastal gem; golden sand, gentle waves and a cozy bay protected by the unique Banjo Pier. It has welcomed families, campers, swimmers and rowers for many years, in all seasons.
From the sea defenses, which are called “blocks” here, you can comfortably watch what is happening around you, and also explore the rock pools that form on the eastern part of the beach at high tide.
Looe’s main center is just a few minutes’ walk away, making this beach a popular destination during the busy summer months. However, the coast offers a refuge for those who want to get away from the crowds and enjoy nature.
