The Klyuchevskaya Sopka is an active stratovolcano on the Kamchatka Peninsula, being the highest volcano on the Eurasian continent, with a height of 4850 meters. The volcano is around 7 thousand years old, and it is the highest peak in Russia after Elbrus in the Caucasus.

Klyuchevskaya Sopka ranks second in activity after the Karimskaya Sopka volcano but has much more powerful eruptions. Located in the center of the eastern part of Kamchatka, 360 km north of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, it is one of the natural attractions of the region. A webcam has been installed thanks to the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, its branch in Kamchatka.
