Dallas is the ninth largest city in the USA and the administrative center of the eponymous county in the state of Texas. It is located on the Trinity River in the northeastern part of the state of Texas in the southern USA. Dallas covers an area of 1000.26 km² and is home to around 1.3 million people.
Dallas, together with the city of Fort Worth and other neighboring cities, forms the conurbation of “Dallas-Fort Worth” with a population of 7.5 million people. Thus, Dallas is the third largest city in Texas, and together with Fort Worth and other suburbs, it is the largest city in Texas and the ninth largest in the USA.
The climate here is humid subtropical with hot and humid summers and variable winters. In summer, the temperature often reaches +40°C, while in winter, it can range from hot temperatures of +30°C to severe frosts of -15°C. Downtown Dallas (CBD) is the central business district of the city and is located in its geographical center. Downtown Dallas is the second largest business district in Texas after Downtown Houston.
