Watch live webcam coverage of Wrigley Field on the North Side of Chicago! The stadium is home to Major League Baseball’s Chicago Cubs, one of the city’s two major league baseball teams.

Opened in 1914 as Weeghman Park for the Chicago Whales of the Federal League, the stadium was renamed by Cubs history. Their first game here was on April 20, 1916, where they defeated the Cincinnati Reds 7–6 in overtime.

In 1921, the team was purchased by bubble gum magnate William Wrigley Jr., and the stadium was named Cubs Park from 1920 to 1926 before being renamed Wrigley Field in 1927. The stadium currently seats 41,649 and is the second named Wrigley, after Los Angeles Stadium, which opened in 1925.
