The Nanfang’ao Fishing Port, visible through this live webcam, serves as a dock for transport vessels traveling between Taitung and Green Island.
Facing Bitoujiao and the Green Island Lighthouse to the north and Turtle Bay to the south, it offers impressive views. On clear days, you can see Taiwan’s landscape, with the prominent Daowu Barrier and its three peaks resembling a mythical sea mountain. The central peak is Beidawu Mountain, flanked by Southern Daowu Mountain and Wutou Mountain, making it a great spot to watch the sunset.
On the left side of the webcam view is Shilang Diving Area, an international diving paradise. Nearby flows the Kuroshio Current, more stable than the currents at White Sand Beach. The surrounding waters feature various ring-shaped coral reefs and schools of fish, earning the area a reputation as an underwater park. This international diving haven is the most famous spot on Green Island, ideal for snorkeling and diving.
