Austria, officially known as the Republic of Austria, is a landlocked nation nestled in Central Europe amidst the stunning Eastern Alps.

It constitutes a federal structure comprising nine provinces, with Vienna, the bustling capital, holding status as both the largest city and province in terms of population.

Geographically, Austria shares its borders with Germany to the northwest, Czechia to the north, Slovakia to the northeast, Hungary to the east, Slovenia and Italy to the south, and Switzerland and Liechtenstein to the west. The country spans across 83,871 square kilometers and is home to approximately 9 million inhabitants.
