A live webcam shows elephants at the San Diego Zoo in California in real time. The San Diego Zoo is one of the largest and most advanced zoos in the world, located in San Diego in Balboa Park, 2 km northeast of downtown San Diego. The zoo covers an area of about 40 hectares and houses around 3,700 animals, representing over 650 species.
Visitors can observe the animals by walking around the zoo or taking a special guided bus tour. The zoo also features a suspended cable car called the “Skyfari” that allows visitors to view the animals from a bird’s eye view. The animals in the zoo are grouped based on their geographic origins, each with its own microclimate.
