Bystranda, a Blue Flag beach, is located in the south-eastern part of the city center of Kristiansand in the county of Agder, Norway.
It is located east of the mouth of the Otra River and is represented by a fine sandy beach on the Kristiansand waterfront, consisting of fine bulk sand. Near Bystranda there are relaxation areas, a bathrobe staircase, a sand volleyball court, a skateboarding ramp, a playground and toilets. The beach administration emphasizes the importance of its accessibility for children and the disabled.
Bystranda is especially popular on hot summer days, and the proximity to the Aquarama indoor water park makes this place even more attractive for holidaymakers.
