It all starts in the center of Gramado, the main town of Serra Gaucha. Avenida Borges de Medeiros heads towards the more touristy part of the city, and so its extension receives a new name: Rua Reynaldo Sperb.
If you follow this path, you will reach a roundabout called Rótula da Mãe, which can take you in two new directions that we will cover. If you turn left you enter Rua Garibaldi, which is as attractive as the rest of the center and home to several shops and restaurants.
However, if you go straight, the road becomes Rua João Petry, which changes its name at the crossroads and turns into the famous Avenida das Hortensias.
