Via webcam you can view the Nakaumi Inland Sea, where the waterfowl sanctuary, registered by the Ramsar Convention in 2005 as an important international wetland, is located. This famous wild bird habitat in the Sanying region attracts many tourists.

From mid-October to the end of March, about a thousand tundra swans fly here for the winter. Early morning and twilight are recommended for observing these beautiful birds: in the morning they fly to feeding areas, and in the evening they rush into formation on the opposite bank of the Nakaumi.

Some 130 species and as many as 10,000 birds can be seen via webcam at the waterfowl sanctuary, including ducks, herons and federally protected species such as the great white-fronted goose, bean goose and white-tailed eagle. In summer you can observe the rearing of spotted ducks, grebes and moorhens, as well as Japanese rice fish and dragonflies.
