G1 aurora outlook for clear skies in the Faroe Islands

A G1 geomagnetic storm could bring a northern lights chance tonight, and the clearest skies on our cameras are over Klaksvík, Stockholm, Saint Petersburg and Jørpeland.
Start with Klaksvík on Borðoy in the Faroe Islands. It is the second-largest town in the islands, set at the end of two fjords, and its harbor camera has a clear forecast for tonight. Stockholm should also have clear skies over Riddarfjärden, the eastern bay of Lake Mälaren, with the city spread across 14 islands nearby.
Farther north, the Lakhta Center camera in Saint Petersburg looks out from a tower that rises 360 meters above the ground, while Jørpeland in Rogaland gives a quieter coastal view on Norway's south-west coast.
If the sky stays clear, those are the places to check after dark. We have a separate section where you can see a list of cameras that offer a higher chance of spotting the northern lights.
