How the list is made

Every hour we check the weather forecast for each camera where snow is possible at this time of year - in the northern hemisphere from October to April, in the southern one from May to September, and at ski resorts at any latitude. A camera is listed while the forecast says snow or sleet is falling there this hour. Heavier snow and cameras where it is daytime come first.

Below the list are the cameras where snow is expected within the next 24 hours. Snow already on the ground is not tracked: a view can stay white for weeks after a snowfall, and such views are easier to find among ski resort and mountain cameras.
