This picturesque town is nestled within a sheltered bay along the northern shoreline of Little Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan. Notably, the Little Traverse Lighthouse graces the Harbor Point peninsula, which provides a haven for the deepest natural harbor within the Great Lakes. To the east and south, you’ll find M-119 connecting to US 31, leading you 7 miles to Bay View and Petoskey, which is located 4 miles away on the southern shores of the harbor.
