The exact date of Jimbaran’s founding is unknown, but there are verified records of its continuous existence over several centuries. Historical texts from the 15th century indicate that the settlement was founded or significantly expanded long before the chronicles were compiled, when southern Bali was under the influence of the Majapahit Empire.
