Opened in 2020, it is home to the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL) and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Rebels college football team.
The stadium is also used for events such as the Vegas Kickoff Classic in September and the Las Vegas Bowl in December. On February 11, 2024, this arena hosted Super Bowl LVIII.
Situated on approximately 62 acres (0.25 km2), west of Mandalay Bay, the stadium is located at Russell Road and Hacienda Avenue, between Polaris Avenue and Dean Martin Drive. It is the second most expensive structure in the world, with a total cost of $1.9 billion, some of which was covered by taxpayers to the tune of $750 million.
Construction began on November 13, 2017, and the stadium was commissioned on July 31, 2020. Thanks to its round and dark design, it has earned the nickname “Rumba” for its resemblance to an automatic vacuum cleaner.
