An overview of KYEAC programs covering the areas of rescue, rehabilitation, retraining, re-homing and/or retirement.
The Kentucky Equine Adoption Center Equine Rescue Program takes into its care horses that have been surrendered by their owners for a variety of reasons in Kentucky. These horses undergo a process of physical and mental rehabilitation and are then trained to the point where they are safe and adoptable.
KYEAC’s adoption program promotes these horses through various platforms. Potential adopters are screened using our adoption application and the relationship between horse and adopter is assessed to ensure compatibility.
It is useful to follow the horses live by current webcam. Spend enough time and you’ll see horses confirm their agreement by nodding their heads. Turn on the sound and hear birds singing in the background.
