Tsaghkadzor is located in the picturesque valley of the Tsaghkadzor River, at the foot of Mount Teghenis in the Kotayk region of Armenia, approximately 55 km north of Yerevan, at an altitude of about 1800 meters above sea level. This city is the largest and most popular ski resort in the country, with developed infrastructure.
There is a lot of entertainment in Tsakhkadzor: gym, swimming pool, bars, restaurants, apartments, hostels, guest houses and hotels from 4 to 5 stars. The resort’s infrastructure includes an Olympic base and many ski lifts, including three chairlifts, a 4.5 km long LEITNER cable car and several rope tows.
Tsaghkadzor is popular with both beginners in alpine skiing and professional athletes due to the variety of ski slopes. During the summer, the city becomes a popular ecotourism destination, offering many outdoor activities. One of the main attractions of Tsaghkadzor is the ancient Kecharis monastery, built in the 11th century.
