Pokainu Forest

Pokainu Forest

Pokainu Forest is a holy place, since ancient times this place was used for magical rituals by the first Balts. It is believed that the stones here appeared in the 2nd-6th century AD. But it is also possible that the stones were brought to build the castle, which was never built on this site.

There is no exact information about the occurrence of stones. Even now, when many people come to the forest, they donate their things (money, jewelry, cosmetics) and ask the stones for help in life, love, happiness, or children.

One thing we can say for sure, the forest really has some power – when you come here, you will be able to fully immerse yourself in a calm atmosphere and perhaps whisper your wish to the stone, it will certainly come true.

Since the walking trail has a length of about 15 kilometers, you can buy a ticket for driving here. You can navigate either on the map or on the wooden signs installed on the road. For those who drive here in the forest there are small parking lots.
