This policy explains what information WorldViewStream ("we", "us") collects when you use worldviewstream.com and the WorldViewStream app, why, and what choices you have.

## 1. Information we collect

When you browse. Our servers and our network provider (Cloudflare) process technical data needed to deliver the site: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, date and time, and the referring page. Cloudflare also tells us the country your request comes from; we use it only to decide which cookie-consent rules apply to you. We do not store it.

If you create an account. Email address, display name, profile picture, and either a password (stored hashed) or the identifier of the sign-in provider you chose (Google or Apple). We also store what you do with the account: favorite cameras, your settings (units, time format, language), game scores and progress, comments, and chat messages. If you contact us. The name, email address and message you send through the Contact Form.

## 2. Cookies and similar technologies

Strictly necessary (no consent needed): keeping you signed in, security, and remembering your cookie choice (wvs_cookie_consent). Some preferences, such as your chat nickname, are kept in your browser's local storage. Analytics (only with your consent where the law requires it): Google Analytics 4 helps us see which cameras and pages are watched, so we can fix broken streams and add new places.

We use Google Consent Mode: in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets no cookies until you agree. Without consent it may send cookieless, anonymous signals that Google uses for aggregate modelling. IP addresses are not stored in Google Analytics, and advertising features of Google Analytics are disabled.

Advertising. The site is funded by ads served by Google (AdSense and Ad Manager) and other advertising partners. Ad partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show, measure and, with your consent, personalize ads. The list of partners and their purposes is shown in the consent message. Embedded content. Many live cameras are embedded from third parties, mainly YouTube, and some pages use Google Maps. Those services may set their own cookies when their content loads, under their own privacy policies.

## 3. Your consent choices

Visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's consent management platform, which follows the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. If an ad blocker prevents that message from loading, we show our own banner asking about analytics only.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Privacy and cookie settings" link or the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Your browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a refusal of analytics.

## 4. How and why we use your information

  • To provide the site, the app and your account (performance of a contract).
  • To keep the service secure and working, and to detect abuse (legitimate interest).
  • To measure usage and improve the service (your consent where required, otherwise legitimate interest).
  • To show ads that fund the service (your consent for personalized ads where required).
  • To answer your messages (legitimate interest).

We do not sell your personal information.

## 5. Sharing

We share data only with providers that help us run the service: hosting, Cloudflare (network and security), Google (Analytics, advertising, sign-in, YouTube, Maps) and Apple (sign-in). We may also disclose data when the law requires it or to protect rights and safety. Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

## 6. Retention

  • Account data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days.
  • Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request.
  • Server logs are kept for a short period, at most 30 days.
  • Google Analytics data is kept for [2/14] months (the setting in our Analytics property).

## 7. Your rights

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to:

  • access your data;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • restrict or object to its processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time.

You can also complain to your data protection authority. You can delete your account in the app or website settings, or ask us to delete your data via the Contact Form.

## 8. Children

The service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
