Bridge to nowhere

Bridge to nowhere

An unusual place. A bridge that goes from nowhere to nowhere. From a distance it seems that the bridge stands in the middle of the field, but coming closer you can see that a stream is flowing.

In fact, the span of the bridge, 55 meters long, was built in 1940. It had to become part of the new railway line under construction between the city of Tukums and Kuldiga.

Soon the Second World War began, since Latvia was also in a state of war, the construction was not completed.

Now there is a bridge span from nowhere to nowhere.
