A live webcam is streaming the Heart of Chechnya Mosque and Akhmat Kadyrov Square in Grozny. The mosque, named after Akhmat Kadyrov, is one of the largest mosques in Russia, covering an area of 5,000 square meters. It is located in a picturesque 14-hectare park in the heart of Grozny, at the intersection of Vladimir Putin Avenue and Husayn Isaev Avenue. Across from it is Akhmat Abdulhamidovich Kadyrov Square, the central square of the Chechen Republic’s capital.

The mosque was built from April 25, 2006, to October 16, 2008, and was opened on October 17, 2008. Modeled after the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, it features a main dome, four half-domes, and four minarets reaching a height of 62 meters. The central hall, covered by a massive 16-meter diameter dome, can accommodate around 10,000 people. The Heart of Chechnya Mosque is part of a large Islamic complex, along with the nearby Russian Islamic University named after Kunta-Haji and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims. It serves as a significant cultural and religious center not only for the Chechen Republic but for the entire Russian Federation.
