You can watch Sulaiman-Too, a sacred mountain in the city of Osh in southern Kyrgyzstan, via live webcam.

This mountain, which was recognized as the country’s first World Heritage Site in June 2009, is a five-domed limestone outcrop stretching from west to east. Its length is more than 1140 meters and its width is 560 meters. This mountain has an ancient history, which is confirmed by preserved petroglyphs.

The first written mentions of this mountain in Osh date back to the time Fergana entered the Arab Caliphate. It is mentioned in the work of the Arab geographer al-Istakhri “The Book of the Ways of the State” (10th century), which talks about a mountain near Osh, where guards were posted to monitor the barbarian Turks. A Kufic inscription found on Takhty Suleiman with the name of the Samanid ruler of Fergana Nasr bin Ahmad (940-941) also dates back to this period.

Until the 16th century, the mountain was called Bara-Kuh, and then, until the 20th century, it was called Takhty-Suleiman (“throne of Solomon”).
