Midbakki (Miðbakki), also known as the old harbor, is located in the city center, next to the Harp Concert Hall. This port is usually used by small ships as it is not designed for large ships.
Visitors here usually include ships conducting whale watching excursions. Despite the lack of a pier, there are several cozy seafood restaurants here.
