This live webcam provides an opportunity to observe the mountain lodge on Triglav in Slovenia, the highest and most visited mountain lodge in the country.
Because of its high location above sea level, it makes a great starting point for the last leg of traveling around Triglav. From here, there is an impressive view to the north and south as well as the summit of Triglav, so visitors can often see hikers taking the last steps to the top.
The Kredarica Mountain House also serves as the highest meteorological station in Slovenia, where two meteorologists are permanently stationed, even in winter. The lodge is officially closed during winter, but the meteorologists are always happy to welcome visitors and offer something to eat.
In winter, Kredarica becomes a popular skiing destination, but climbing to the top of Triglav is only accessible to the most experienced climbers and only under the right conditions. Inside the lodge there is room to accommodate almost 350 people, and 300 seats are provided in the dining rooms and in front of the lodge.
