Away from the vibrant activity of Curaçao’s Punda and Otrobanda districts lies the secluded paradise of Klein Curaçao, a coral island featuring pristine white sand beaches, clear azure waters, a breathtaking reef, and a vibrant underwater world. This flat and windswept island serves as a haven for divers, snorkelers, and sunbathers alike.
Situated 15 miles southeast of Curaçao, Klein Curaçao is easily accessible via a two-hour boat journey from Spanish Water. The Mermaid, a robust seafaring vessel, departs from Fishermen’s Pier every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday mornings at 6:45 am.
Six days a week, the Mermaid transports visitors to Klein Curaçao, offering an idyllic day by the sea. Upon boarding, guests are welcomed with a comforting cup of tea or coffee, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere thanks to Captain Kees and his crew.
