Anse Vata, located between two imposing rocks – Rocher-Cesar, which leads to Cape Magnin, and the famous Rocher-à-la-Voile, at the very Lemon Bay, is one of the main tourist destinations in Noumea.
On the eastern side of this bay, there is a footpath that runs along the extensive beach, the promenade Roger-Laroque. Here you will find many hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and nightclubs.
Windsurfers put on an amazing show using the trade winds to get to Helot Canard or Helot Matre from Anse Wat.
Despite the place open to the dominant winds, here you can also relax on the green grass, under the crowns of coconut palms. If you feel like exercising, you can also take advantage of the newly installed fitness equipment at the eastern end of the bay, close to the shore. All in all, visiting Anse Wata is a really great idea!
