The live webcam provides a real-time view of the Golden Bridge spanning across the Golden Horn Bay in Vladivostok. The Zolotoy Bridge, a cable-stayed road bridge, connects the central Leninsky district with the Pervomaisky district, serving the purpose of easing traffic congestion in the heart of Vladivostok, the capital of the Primorsky Territory.

Although ideas for a bridge over the Golden Bay date back to the 19th century, various historical events such as the First World War, Second World War, perestroika, and the dissolution of the USSR delayed its construction. Finally, in 2012, the Golden Bridge became a reality as part of Vladivostok’s preparations for hosting the APEC summit. The construction spanned four years, from 2008 to 2012, and the bridge was officially inaugurated on August 11, 2012.

The Golden Bridge boasts a length of 1388 meters, a main span of 737 meters, a width of 33.3 meters, and stands at a height of 60 meters above the water level. With 6 lanes, 3 in each direction, the bridge’s elements were meticulously crafted from Russian steel at the Nakhodka shipyard. Its robust design enables it to withstand a powerful earthquake measuring up to magnitude 8.
