Kiryat Haim is part of the Haifa neighborhood known as Krayot and is located in the northern part of the capital city. The population of the area was approximately 27,000 in 2008.
This coastal area falls within the municipal boundaries of the city of Haifa and offers excellent beach opportunities along the Mediterranean Sea.
Kiryat Haim was named after Chaim Arlozorov. It initially served as a temporary refugee camp before becoming a city in its own right. In 1950, it was incorporated into Haifa as one of its districts.
