Old Faithful, also known as Old Faithful Geyser, stands as one of the world’s most renowned geysers.

This natural wonder is situated within Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, USA, and it was first stumbled upon in 1870 by members of the Washburn-Langford-Doan expedition, which is when it acquired its distinctive name.

Each eruption of this geyser propels an impressive volume of scalding water into the air, ranging from 14,000 to 32,000 liters, soaring to heights spanning from 32 to 56 meters, with an eruption duration typically ranging from 1.5 to 5 minutes.

One of the most notable traits of Old Faithful is its exceptional predictability. It consistently erupts at intervals spanning from 35 to 120 minutes, making it the most frequently photographed of all natural wonders. The time between eruptions follows a bimodal distribution, with an average interval of either 65 or 91 minutes.
