Ngau Tau Kok is a Hong Kong subway Kwun Tong station located in East Kowloon’s Ngau Tau Kok, between Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay stations. It was one of the first stations on this network and opened on October 1, 1979.

Our webcam is aimed at the skyscrapers of Hong Kong.

It should be noted that Ngau Thau Kok is one of only three stations on this line that are above ground, unlike most other metro stations in the region that are underground. Most passengers heading to work prefer to use the Ngau Tau Kok station.

Interestingly, due to the difficulty of installing screen doors on the station platforms above ground, the authorities decided not to install them at Ngau Tau Kok station. Instead, automatic gates were installed on the station platforms in 2011.

Historically, Ngau Thau Kok Station opened on October 1st 1979, along with the introduction of the Modified Initial Subway System.

Platforms 1 and 2 of this station use the same island platform, with the eastern parts of the platforms curved, resulting in a significant distance between the platform and the train.
