Waikiki is a resort area in Honolulu, the capital of the state of Hawaii and the administrative center of Honolulu County. The city is located on the southwest side of the island of Oahu in the Hawaiian Islands, between the Pacific Ocean and the Koolau Range, which is a remnant of a huge ancient volcano.
Honolulu has a tropical climate with blurred boundaries between wet and dry seasons, receiving little rainfall thanks to the Koolau Range.
