The only place where a narrow-gauge train still runs is the Aluksne – Gulbene railway. The railway has remained since 1903 and is now in use. The narrow-gauge Aluksne – Gulbene railway is recognized as a cultural monument of national significance. When you arrive at the railway station in Gulben, check out the depot. At the depot there is a large steam locomotive with a car that was intended for the authorities of the Estonian Communist Party – all the furniture has been preserved since then.
