A unique place not only for a long walk , but also a place where you can see how peat is extracted. Cena was previously the second largest swamp in Latvia. Peat extraction here was started before the Second World War. The total area of the swamp was 2133 ha. The entire trail is equipped with informative stands with descriptions of rare birds and plants that you can meet, observation towers and several bridges across the swamp. There are also benches along the entire length of the trail and places with tables to linger and admire the swamp scenery. The trail is 6 km long, and the best time to visit is in the second half of spring.
