Bruknas Manor

The manor or manor house was originally built in the 18th century and in the 19th century it was rebuilt . After the agrarian reform of Latvia, a school was located in the manor house. The school worked until 1966, then the building was given as living space to people and divided into separate apartments. And in the great hall of the estate there was a space for projectionists.

Since 2001, a public organization “Kalina svētību kopiena” has been working in the estate, which is engaged in the treatment of drug addicts. Prayers and therapeutic work are used for rehabilitation, not medications.The head is Andrejs Mediņs, a Catholic priest.

The estate has a beautiful garden and you can also see the original decorations from the facade of the estate.
