The city of Baldone has always been famous for its sulfur springs , there was a sanatorium in which many people gathered for treatment. To the estate of Mecenate is a beautiful tree-lined Avenue – now it is abandoned. Opposite the castle is another abandoned object, also a sanatorium, but already built in our days. Walking through the park, the road will lead you to a sulfur spring and a small barefoot trail.
What else can you see in Baldone ? This town should be given more time to explore.
Baldon white castle was built in 1901, but immediately converted into a military hospital. Now the Baldon Music School is located here.
Not far from the castle there is a park with rare and ancient trees and the first horse-drawn tram car was recreated.
