In the background of the webcam, you can see the cable-stayed bridge Yatkian Kyunttila, which is one of the city’s landmarks. The bridge is unique in that electric lamps are installed on top of the pylon, creating the effect of burning candles.
The bridge was under construction for two years and was completed in 1989, opening on September 28, 1989. The length of the bridge is 327 meters, and the pylon’s height is 47 meters. In the foreground of the webcam, another bridge over the river is visible.
