This webcam broadcasts a video of the exhibition “I love Vushtrria” live from the town of Vushtrri, located in the Mitrovica region in northern Kosovo.

According to the latest census conducted in 2011, the city of Vushtrri has 26,964 inhabitants and the municipality has 69,870 inhabitants. The city is surrounded by Mitrovica to the north, Podujevo to the east, Obilik to the south, Drenas to the southwest and Skenderaj to the west. Vushtri Municipality comprises 67 villages.

Historically, Vushtrri may have been known as Vichiana. During the Roman invasion of Dardania in the 1st century BC, the Romans added the Latin suffix “um” to Vician’s name, giving rise to the name Vitianum. The name Vushtri in Albanian comes from the name of the plant Ononis spinosa, which grows abundantly in this region.

The main feature of the city is its cultural and historical heritage. The city castle, stone bridge, public bath and Cesme fountain were built many centuries ago and are the main attractions of Vushtrri.
