A panoramic webcam shows a view from the top of Mammoth Mountain at the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area.

The Mammoth Mountain Ski Area is the largest ski resort in the western part of the continental United States, located within the Inyo National Forest in Eastern California. The resort’s slopes run along the northern slope of Mammoth Mountain in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, from which the ski resort gets its name.

Mammoth Mountain stands at a height of 3,371 meters (11,059 feet), marking the highest point of the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. The resort covers an area of 1,420 hectares and features 150 ski trails of varying difficulty levels, with a vertical drop of 940 meters. The trails are serviced by 28 lifts: 3 gondolas, 26 chairlifts, and 2 T-bars. At the top of Mammoth Mountain lies the upper station of the Panorama Gondola, along with a cafe and restaurant. From the summit, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
