Khan Shatyr Shopping and Entertainment Center is the largest shopping and entertainment center in Kazakhstan and a unique architectural structure in the world. It is located on Turan Avenue in the Esil District of Astana, the capital and second-largest city in Kazakhstan.
The shopping center is a huge Kazakh tent reaching a height of 150 meters, making it the largest tented structure in the world. Its name translates from Kazakh as “king among tents.” The total area of the structure is 127,000 m², housing over 200 shops and boutiques under the semi-transparent dome of the tent, a huge supermarket, numerous cafes and restaurants, a gym, Fame City game center, a water park, and a 3D cinema.
Khan Shatyr Shopping and Entertainment Center is well-known for its unique tropical resort in Kazakhstan, the Sky Beach Club, featuring a pristine beach with sand imported from the Maldives. It includes two pools, a sauna, and a jacuzzi. Nearby attractions in Astana include the Lovers’ Park, Nurzhol Boulevard, Bayterek Monument, Akorda Presidential Residence, and others.
