The Extreme Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (EIT) of the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) shows the Sun in the 284 nm range. SOHO is a spacecraft designed for observing the Sun, launched on December 2, 1995, and placed in the Earth-Sun L1 Lagrange point.
Developed by NASA in collaboration with ESA, SOHO began its mission in May 1996. It is equipped with 12 instruments for imaging and measuring solar radiation. The EIT is one of these instruments, displaying the Sun in various ultraviolet ranges, specifically at 284 nm.
