Live webcam from Paralia, a tourist seaside village in the eastern region of Pieria, Greece. Following changes in local government in 2011, this village became part of the municipality of Katerini, within which it is located as a municipal unit.

The settlement arose after 1922, when fishermen, refugees from Tsiya in Asia Minor, founded it. They first settled in Thessaloniki, and then some of them moved to Davlia, where they were accepted by local residents.

Their means of livelihood included agriculture and fruit growing. After living in this area for some time, they decided to move – some to the north, some to the south. Those who headed north settled in Paralia, within the municipality of Paralia, choosing this location because it reminded them of their former home.
