High in dense riverine forest on the banks of the Zambezi River, lies Tembo Plains Camp, in the 128,000-hectare Sapi Private Game Reserve, east of Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools National Park.
The camp is located near the border with Zambia and has a webcam through which you can observe the beauty of wildlife.
The legend tells of traders from the East who, in addition to trade, were looking for a mystical city of gold, a source of gold. They frantically sailed their dhows up the Zambezi River, passing the Sapi Game Reserve, in search of this magical place.
