A live webcam provides a real-time view of Tokyo from the Tokyo Tower.
The Tokyo Tower is the main attraction and symbol of Tokyo, located in the Minato district in the heart of Japan’s capital, not far from the Imperial Palace. Standing at a height of 332.6 meters, it ranks 23rd among the world’s tallest TV towers. The Tokyo Tower has 6 levels and its design is reminiscent of the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris. It features a lattice structure and is painted in orange and white colors for aviation safety purposes.
Constructed in 1958 to transmit television and radio signals to Tokyo and the Kanto region, the Tokyo Tower attracts over 2.5 million tourists annually. Beneath it, there is a 4-story building housing restaurants, shops, and museums. The Tokyo Tower has 2 observation decks – one at 145 meters high and the other at 250 meters above sea level. From there, visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city of Tokyo, Tokyo Bay, the Pacific Ocean, and the peak of Mount Fuji.
