Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz, or simply Santa Fe, is a city and the capital of the province of Santa Fe in the eastern part of Argentina, located on a vast plain near the confluence of the Paraná and Salado rivers, 400 km northwest of Buenos Aires. Santa Fe is home to about 405,690 people, making it the 8th largest city in the country.
