Viru Gate is one of the gates in the old town of Tallinn that has been preserved to this day. The gate was part of the defenses of the Tallinn City Wall. The building dates back to the 14th century. After a couple of centuries, there were already 8 city gates .
Through the gate you get to Viru Street, which is full of souvenir shops , restaurants and is one of the most popular streets in the city.
