This live webcam broadcast from The Brian Boru Pub provides a view of the bustling Prospect Road in Glasnevin, a northern neighborhood of Dublin, the capital city of Ireland.

Established in 1904, Hedigans “The Brian Boru” stands out as the most distinguished pub in Dublin’s Glasnevin, celebrated for its excellent cocktails and culinary offerings.

Brian Boru, the pub’s namesake, was a notable Irish king who played a crucial role in putting an end to the dominance of the High Kingship of Ireland by the Uí Néill and potentially halted Viking invasions of the country.

Referred to in historical records such as the Annals of Inisfallen and Chronicon Scotorum as “Brian mac Cennétig” (Brian, son of Cennétig), Brian of Bóruma, or Brian Boru, was a posthumous designation. Building upon the accomplishments of his father, Cennétig mac Lorcain, and notably his elder brother, Mathgamain, Brian initially assumed kingship over Munster, later subjugating Leinster and ultimately ascending to the position of High King of Ireland. As the founder of the O’Brien dynasty, Brian is widely recognized as one of the most successful and unifying monarchs in medieval Ireland.
