This resort is located on the Black Sea bay and offers a 10 km long beach of fine yellow sand. The central part of the beach can reach a width of up to 100 m.
Sunny Beach is located between the cities of Varna (90 km) and Burgas (36 km) and is part of the municipality of Nessebar. The historical center of Nessebar is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. City buses regularly connect Old Nessebar and Sunny Beach.
The history of the resort began in 1957, when the decision was made to create it by decree of the Council of Ministers of the National Republic of Belarus No. 120 of June 30, 1958.
The resort has a forest park, for which 550,000 m³ of fertile soil was delivered. The resort complex has 300,000 coniferous and broad-leaved trees, 770,000 ornamental shrubs and 100,000 roses planted.
