The municipality of Sobradinho, located in the southern region of Brazil, witnessed a historical moment with the completion of the impressive Temple of Cristo Acolhedor, which can now be seen through a live webcam.
Using the SANY STC1000S machine operated by Trevisan, the lifting phase of the statue parts was successfully completed. This ambitious project, aimed at developing local tourism, began last November and is attracting great interest in the region.
The majestic monument, rising on the banks of the ERS-400 highway, on a hill known as the Granja do Silencio, reaches a height of 24 meters. The investment of approximately 1.5 million reais was fully covered by the municipality, demonstrating the city’s desire to create a strong symbol. Inspired by Christ the Protector of the city of Encantado, the Sobradinho statue has a unique feature: the arms are placed closer to the body and raised up.
