This webcam provides stunning views of the White Drin River as it flows through Kosovo and northern Albania. The river has a length of about 140 kilometers and is the headwaters of the Drina River.
In Kosovo, the White Drin flows through semi-karst terrain, its channel length is 122 kilometers. The source of the river is on the southern slopes of Mount Zhleb, near the villages of Peja. The river’s drainage begins near the Bukroshya and Fietur caves, then the river creates the White Drin waterfall, 25 meters high.
In 1934, engineer Dmitry Tyapkin built a hydroelectric power station next to the waterfall, which provided electricity to the city.
